Event Introduction

Overview

The world becomes incredibly petty, as any sensitive, careful person can see. In that trivial and ignorant state, the mind is entangled in endless issues: restlessness, conflict, aggression, anxiety, and more. Life, therefore, becomes miserable, manifested in the chaos everywhere: socially, economically, politically, and mentally.

What lies behind the pettiness is the fundamental issues of the human mind, which has gone astray very, very much, as one can perceive.

This event is a series of public talks and sessions on various fundamental topics of human existence: attachment, fear, pleasure, desire, ego, time, death, the nature of thought, and more. All those topics are closely related to one's daily living with its challenges and troubles.

This meditation and self-inquiry session facilitates one to observe oneself objectively. With one's diligent and careful observation to penetrate all superficialities, the mind is free of all hurts and becomes silent and resilient. Then a totally different outlook on living may come into being.

These talks will also deeply, though inadvertently, respond to the common mental challenges of society: fear, loneliness, extreme individualism, obsession, addiction, and aggression.

Atmosphere

Attendees sit, listen, and observe in silence and openness, with full attention. There is no argument or debate. During the Q&A, the speaker will respond openly to any serious concerns raised by attendees. This is to facilitate the mind to get insight into its problems and explore a way of living that is never stuck. Insight brings transformation.

The event fosters an environment where not only can attendees meet an awakened human being truthfully, but also, more importantly, meet themselves authentically. Such an atmosphere becomes rare in a world full of hyper-hypocrisy.

The event is completely free and open to each human being who is serious and eager to come upon the truth of living.

The venue is offered free by PBAZO, which also designs the flyer distributed in a few community centers. However, the design only represents the designer's interpretation of the event, which is irrelevant to the actuality of what the event is like.
